This is one of our old projects that I found on my old iPhone. We refinished the darker stained engineered floor and applied a natural oil-based finish, which highlighted the variety of colors of the wood planks.
At one of our past projects on N Wayne Ave in the heart of Chicago, we had the privilege of transforming a beautiful condominium’s hardwood floors. Our recent project with Stand Up Flooring took us to a charming townhome in Hanover Park, where we had the privilege of completely transforming two floors and stairs. The project involved removing old Pergo flooring and carpets, followed by the installation of beautiful hardwood stairs and floors, ensuring durability and elegance throughout the home.
Our collaboration with Redesign Floors led us to a project in beautiful Geneva, Illinois, where we had the opportunity to transform a stairway that had encountered a unique challenge. The previous finish applied to the stairs had become problematic, heating up and causing sandpaper to adhere during the refinishing process. This necessitated extra effort and materials to restore the stairs to their former glory.
Our team tackled the project with precision and dedication. After meticulously removing the old varnish, we applied a golden oak stain that breathed new life into the stairs. This choice not only created a warm and inviting ambiance but also harmonized seamlessly with the existing floors, stair banisters, and posts.
In the tranquil community nestled behind the fire station on Shermer Rd in Northbrook, Illinois, we took on a remarkable project in collaboration with Orient Flooring: refinishing a factory-finished maple hardwood floor. This undertaking presented unique challenges due to the exceptional hardness of both the wood and the existing finish.
Our skilled team confronted the task head-on, employing sanding paper with grit ratings far lower than the standard. In some areas, we had to utilize an impressive 16-grit paper, highlighting the extreme hardness of the wood. This meticulous process required precision and expertise to ensure the optimal outcome.
I had the privilege of working on a remarkable hardwood floor refinishing project in Elgin, collaborating with Redesign Floors. This beautiful residence boasted a sunroom and an open layout that encompassed a small dining room, a kitchen, a living room, and a spacious sunroom.
The sunroom was the centerpiece of the project, flooded with natural light through its glass windows and sliding doors. It created a warm and inviting atmosphere, seamlessly blending the indoors with the outdoors.
